May 2018 Charity Update

We are making great progress - thanks to everyone for sharing your time and talents!

On May 1, Dea, Janet and I delivered 11 quilts (9 twin/full and 2 throws), 10 pillowcases, fabric and sewing notions to Angela House. We received a gracious tour of the residence, and had a very good feeling about this program, the staff, and how much our efforts can really make a difference. Each woman receives a twin quilt and pillowcase for their bed. Their capacity is 18, so when we deliver the next batch in the fall; we will likely have completed 1 quilt per resident.

Our baby/child quilts will go to Katy Cares, and I gave four of these to Jenn last week for delivery.

Remember to complete your charity items-blocks, quilting, binding-and bring to the May meeting, if possible.

Thanks to Cheryl for assembling one of the Pick Up Sticks tops and Sydney for making pillow cases at retreat and Rosemarie for assembling the BOM top from the first batch of returned blocks.
