June Member Update

Summer is in full swing.

With Memorial Day in our rearview mirror, the Houston summer is pretty much fully upon us now. I'll be taking every opportunity to enjoy the pool and I suggest you do the same (and the splash pad, bayous, coast, lakes, and oceans...). Summers always remind me of the sting of sunscreen in my eyes and blast of AC walking into any building when you're trying to avoid the Houston heat. Another way to beat the heat is to enjoy delicious food and wonderful people at our Annual summer BBQ on August 12th. Ellen has graciously offered her gorgeous house to host us and her pool will be open and ready for members, SOs, and kids! Sewing with friends indoors is yet another great way to beat the heat! We have two big workshops coming up this summer - Curved Piecing with Malka Dubrawsky this month and Modern Machine Quilting with Christa Watson in August.

Happy sewing!
